Cloud Computing, Higher Education and Constituent Relationship Management

Technology, lifelong learning and engagement and global opportunities are redefining the nature of constituent relationship management in Higher Education.  How do you view cloud technology as a possible solution for keeping pace with these divergent forces?  How are Colleges and Universities utilizing Cloud technology (i.e. salesforce.com, Google, Facebook, Social Networking) to correct the legacy of fragmented, rigid technical architecture, improve constituent engagement, operational efficiency, find new revenue and expand the walls of their institutions?
